If you are looking for sunshine, it is going to be a long wait. Between now and Tuesday, showers will be followed by occasional downpours, strong gusty winds and even thunder.
The amount of rain that falls on Monday and especially Tuesday should range between 1.0 and 1.5 inches. This additional rainfall could cause more issues in the 9 East Tennessee counties that were under Flash Flood Warnings last Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, strong and steady winds will characterize Tuesday with southwest winds 15 to 30 mph and gusts around 40 mph.
