Tree limb pierces Knoxville Fire engine's windshield, no injuries reported
The Knoxville Fire Department tweeted out Tuesday morning that a "down tree limb pierced" the windshield of one of their fire engines.
KFD said there were no injuries to personnel, but the department did pull Engine 21 off the road and replace it with a reserve engine.
The limb hit the fire engine while KFD was on the way to a fire alarm at Ten Mile Center.
Strong storms knocked out power and caused damage around a wide area of East Tennessee early Tuesday morning.
