KNOXVILLE, Tenn (WVLT) -- Powell Pre-School Child Creations hosted a trike-a-thon on Friday June 14th, benefiting the Ronald McDonald house.

Child Creations preschool in Powell hosted a trike-a-thon to benefit the Ronald McDonald House.

The event brought dozens of children to ride their bikes, scooters, and trikes around the pre-school's track.

Nikki Vandergriff-Mynatt, Associate Project Manger for Mesa Associates, explained that the trike-a-thon aimed to educate children on the importance of supporting families in the community.

"Not only are these children learning empathy for sick children and their families in the Knoxville community, they also learn what Ronald McDonald House does for them" she said.

Mesa Associates sponsored the event along with raising $2,500 for Ronald McDonald House
