Trout fishing event to be held for military families on Clinch River

An area trout fishing group is hosting a free fishing event for military families.
The Clinch River Chapter of Trout Unlimited is hosting Veterans on the Water on Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The group is inviting all veterans, active military personnel and their families to participate. Participants will participate in an introduction to fly fishing plus a picnic lunch. The free event is supported by a grant from the Tennessee Valley Authority, and will take place on the bank of the Clinch at Miller Island boat ramp on River Road near the intersection with Highway 441 in Norris.
