WASHINGTON (WVLT/CNN) -- According to a report from CNN, President Donald Trump said he is prepared to veto the Senate's vote on his national emergency declaration.

"I don't know what the vote will be. It doesn't matter. I will probably have to veto," said Trump to reporters.

The Senate is expected to vote Thursday afternoon on whether to approve the declaration which President Trump introduced in order to receive funding to build a wall along the Mexican border after Congress left funding for it out of the national budget.

Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander (R.) said on Thursday morning he will vote 'no' on the declaration.
