Two-year-old boy gets excited about trash with garbage man's friendship
Two-year-old Lance became friends with his neighborhood garbage man since the family moved in last July.
Lance wheels his little recycling bin out to the curb every Monday, next to the family's garbage can, and waits for his friend James the Trash Man.
Truck driver James Jackson picked up the trash for four years, but he made a new sidekick in Lance.
"It's like, he's eating breakfast, he hears it, he stops and says, 'Garbage truck!' Lance's mother Chantal Rufus said. "We have to get him out of the high chair and run to the back. I really love it. I'm excited every Monday, too."
"It makes it sweet when you see someone who really likes what you do," said Jackson.
Lance even dressed as Jackson for Halloween, using a tiny recycling bin and a matching reflective vest that he now uses for Monday trash collection.
