On Friday, the Vice President spoke at the American Conservative Union's CPAC 365 event in Knoxville at the Convention Center.

Pence praised the crowd for rallying behind the Conservative cause, and urged them to support Republican candidates in the November elections.

"We’re just 46 days from when all of you deliver another historic victory for Tennessee and America when we reelect Republican majorities in Congress, when we send Bill Lee to the State House, and when we make Marsha Blackburn the next senator from the great state of Tennessee," Pence said.

Pence's appearance came on behalf of Republican Senate candidate Marsha Blackburn at Club LeConte. She's running against Democrat Phil Bredesen.

Other guests included Rep. Blackburn, Chris Cox and ACU Chairman Matt Schlapp.

Pence brought greetings from President Trump, and praised the work done by his administration and the Republican majority in Congress.

“This economy is growing like never before. Because of the leadership you’ve supported, because of the decisive action of our president, because of the strong Republican majorities in the Congress, the American economy is booming. Jobs are coming back, confidence is back, American is back and we’re just getting started.”
