KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- On a day when Tennessee loses Grant Williams to the NBA, 7-footer Uros Plavsic commits to transfer to UT from Arizona State.
Plasvic will have four years to play at UT after red-shirting his freshman season with the Sun Devils. However, he may have to stay on the bench a full year if his application for a waiver does not go through.
In making his announcement Plavsic said, "never thought I would say this, but I just made one of the toughest decisions of my life. I am happy and proud to announce that I've decided to transfer to the University of Tennessee."
"After spending a lot of time thinking and discussing with my closest one, I realized that my future belongs to Tennessee. I am so grateful for the opportunity that coach Barnes and coach Schwarz gave me. Lastly and the most importantly, I want to thank God for keeping me healthy and strong throughout the whole journey. Go Vols."
