The WVLT Weather Alert Day for Tuesday will feature more rain, wind, thunder and flooding potential.
The timing for the HEAVIEST rain seems to arrive in the Valley between 9 AM and 1 PM Tuesday.
The Flash Flood Watches issued for most counties NORTH of I-40 started at 4 AM and run until 7 PM Tuesday. We are looking for 1.00 to 1.50” + of rain to fall, which could, at the very least, cause large puddles to form on area roads.

Winds in the Valley will be strong and steady as well with South-Southwest winds 10 to 25 mph with gusts 35 to 40 mph.
The Smokies are under a High Wind Warning from 1 AM Tuesday to 4 PM Tuesday for Southern Blount, Southern Sevier and Southern Cocke Counties for South winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts to 60 mph.
Wind Advisories run from 1 AM Tuesday to 4 PM Tuesday for Southern Monroe and Southern Greene Counties for South winds 20 to 30 mph and gusts 45 mph.
