KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- After a cold front ended the week on a mild note, warm air is moving back in. With it being Father's Day weekend, here's what you need to know to make your plans!
If you prefer temperatures that are more typical of June, then Saturday is your day! We'll have more clouds to start the day, but see more sunshine in the afternoon to evening. To get the warmer air back into town, wind speeds increase. The humidity will also steadily increase to a little sticky by the evening hours.
A stray pop-up shower or storm is possible along the Tennessee, Kentucky line as a few more showers move across the Bluegrass state on Saturday.
On Sunday, we'll have even more heat and humidity. Now we're talking "feels like" temperatures near 90 degrees.
This also means we could see an isolated shower or storm develop Sunday. As of now, a batch of rain and storms will move in Sunday night, so we'll keep you updated if it picks up the pace and will get here sooner.
Have a great weekend and happy Father's Day to all the dads, step-dads, grandfathers and father-figures out there!!
