PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WVLT)- Dollywood opened their largest expansion, Wildwood Grove, and now families from all over are coming to see it. A day at the park can add up but there are ways to save.
When it comes to admission, you have a few options depending on how many times you plan on visiting the park. If it's more than once, odds are you may want to look at buying a season pass.
A one day pass will be $74 per person before tax.
If you go twice, you'll pay $148 per person unless you get a season pass. That is $129 a person and you can go as often as you want.
If you're planning on going more than five times you may want to consider a Gold Pass. It runs $204 dollars per person before tax. The Gold Pass includes parking. It will also get you 20 percent off some food and merchandise as well as discounts on premium parts of the park.
There a few options for parking. A Gold Pass will let you park for free. Depending on the size of your group taking a trolley may save you a few bucks. You can park at Patriot Park for free and take the trolley. It's $2.50 per person one way, or $3.00 per person for a day pass. The trolley will drop you off at Dollywood.
Try to pack light when you're in the park. You can avoid a $12 family size locker or a smaller floating locker for $7 a day.
Dollywood no longer allows coolers and outside food inside their park. If you want to save on that, eat before you come or you can leave the park for lunch. Just get a hand stamp on your way out so you can get back in.
