One Michigan charter school thinks clear backpacks will help curb school violence.
Those attending Eagle’s Nest Academy in Flint, Michigan will be required to use clear backpacks beginning this week.
This comes after a 10-year-old student brought a loaded handgun into the school.
However, parentss won't have to spend their own money for the new backpacks because the school will provide the new clear ones to all students.
Meanwhile, the 10-year-old child who brought the loaded gun to school is currently charged as a juvenile for carrying a concealed weapon, felonious assault, and bringing a weapon into a gun-free zone.
The student's now staying at a juvenile detention facility in Michigan. Authorities say the gun was stolen, but it’s still unknown where the weapon came from.
