Zoo Knoxville is offering free admission to those fleeing the threat of Hurricane Florence.

Residents of North and South Carolina who have come to our area can visit the zoo free of charge with only a valid, state-issued identification from North or South Carolina.

“The uncertainty and disruption that our neighbors in North and South Carolina are dealing with as they take shelter from this storm is unimaginable,” said President and CEO Lisa New. “We hope to be a place that can offer them a bit of relief for a few hours .”

Evacuees will only need to show their ID at the ticket window to enjoy all that Zoo Knoxville has to offer.
