It's nearing Halloween, and Zoo Knoxville is getting into the spirit with their annual BOO! at the Zoo event.

The event will take place in October: 13-15, 19-22 and 26-29. Each day, it will begin at 5:30 and end at 8:30 p.m. October 12 is a night reserved for zoo annual passholders from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

BOO! at the Zoo will feature trick-or-treating through the zoo with costumed entertainers and characters along the way. The zoo also features the Scary-Go-Round, a haunted carousel, and BOO! Choo Train.

Tickets are on sale for $9 per person. Children under four get in for free, and parking is free as well. Annual passholders and U.S. Cellular customers receive $2 off on admission tickets.

"Not only are you having a great time but the money is going to support our mission and our operations so it's going to take care of the animals and it goes right back into the park," said Lisa New, president and CEO Zoo Knoxville.

You may buy tickets

via phone at 865-637-5331 or at the zoo's ticket office during regular zoo hours. Buyers are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance as there are limited spaces available.
