The company behind several successful venues in Pigeon Forge is in the process of being purchased.

The Fee/Hedrick Family Entertainment Group, behind the Comedy Barn, the Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Feud, the Smoky Mountain Opry and others, is being purchased by World Choice Investments, LLC. That company is behind the Dolly Parton Dinner shows.

According to a press release from the group to employees, the purchase is set to be effective in January of next year.

"We are thrilled and honored that such a world-class company would purchase our brands with the intent of making them bigger and better," the press release says.

The company is also sponsoring a company cruise to the Bahamas, and the release says it will be giving over $5 million dollars back to its employees.

World Choice, according to the release, is allowing all the shows to continue as they are through the entirety of 2019.
