1 stick butter 1 cup sugar 1 egg ½ lb chopped dates ½ cup pecans 2 cups Rice Krispies 2 cups (approx.) flake coconut
Melt butter and beat in sugar, egg, and dates. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, about 10 minutes or until thick. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. Stir in rice krispies (or other puffed rice cereal) and pecans. While still warm, shape into 1 inch balls and roll in the coconut.
