Extraordinary Quiche Friday, September 1, 2017


1 9 inch deep dish pie shell, unbaked
1 cup (approx.) country ham, chopped
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1 cup asparagus, tough ends broken off and cut into 1 inch pieces
4 TBSP flour
3 eggs
1 cup buttermilk


Place ham, cheese, asparagus and flour in a mixing bowl. Toss to mix. Turn into the unbaked pie shell. Beat together the eggs and buttermilk. Pour slowly over the country ham mixture. Place in a 425 deg oven for 10 minutes. Turn oven down to 350 deg and cook for about 35 minutes more until the quiche is puffed and brown. Serve hot, warm, or cold.
