Lemon Garlic Tilapia Monday, July 7, 2014


4 tilapia fillets
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter or margarine
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried parsley flakes
salt to taste
Cayenne pepper to taste


Preheat oven to 400 deg. Spray a baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Place the fillets in the pan in a single layer. On medium low heat, melt butter. Add olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt and parsley and saute for a couple of minutes. Pour over tilapia fillets in baking pan. Lightly, sprinkle some cayenne pepper over the fish. Bake in preheated oven for about 13 minutes, and broil for an additional 2-3 minutes to give a good look to the fish.
