Cookie Crumb Cheesecake Thursday, August 3, 2017


1 cup cookie crumbs (pick your favorite cookie, Oreo, sugar, etc)
3 TBSP butter, melted
2 lbs cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
3 TBSP plain flour
4 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 TBSP vanilla


Mix cookie crumbs and butter and press into the bottom of a 10 inch springform pan. Bake about 5 minutes in a 350 deg oven and allow to cool. Using an electric mixer, mix cream cheese, sugar and flour until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing after each addition. Blend in sour cream and vanilla. Spread the filling gently over the crumbs. Bake in a 450 deg oven for ten minutes. Reduce heat to 250 and bake for approximately 45 minutes more. Turn off the heat and allow then cheesecake to remain in the oven one hour before removing. Cover and chill before serving.
