#21 Aggies turn back Lady Vols 79-62

Winners of two straight and five of six, the Lady Vols could not match Texas A&M falling at College Station Thursday night 79-62.

Tennessee did not have an answer for Texas A&M's Kayla Wells who scored 16 points in the first half, she'd finish with a career high 29. On her heels was teammate Chennedy Carter who knocked down an impressive 28 points.

The Lady Vols kept it close before the break scoring 22 points in the paint in the first half, but could not maintain that success down the stretch. Leading the way for Tennessee was Evina Westbrook with 17 points. The Lady Vols return home to face South Carolina on Sunday afternoon. The Lady Gamecocks won't be a pleasant bunch coming off a loss themselves Thursday night at home to Kentucky.
