Man behind viral football videos talks Vols vs. Alabama

Jermaine Funnymaine Johnson is a comedian and die hard Alabama fan. His videos float around Facebook pretty often and are watched by many.

WVLT wanted to see what he has to say ahead of the 'Bama game this weekend. He talked to our Justin McDuffie via Skype from a Red Lobster this afternoon.

"I've been a comedian for 13 years now, and I've been a 'Bama fan all of my life," Johnson said. "It was only a matter of time before the two things came together. Ever since it did, I'm just blessed that everybody's enjoying the videos. I'm just having a lot of fun with it."

He said he felt the upset last week over Auburn was coming.

"I honestly knew that going into that game that Tennessee had a good chance to win," Johnson said. "They've played a lot of teams close. They get better and better every week. I think that Coach Pruitt is getting a lot of the bad apples out of the program. I can't say that I was totally surprised."

When Alabama quarterback got injured during their game last, Johnson said he got nervous.

"It was panic, and if an Alabama fan said they weren't panicked then they just lying trying to play cool,"Johnson said. "If you watched him the whole game, he had been dealing with some knee issues from the previous week. It was impacting the accuracy of his throws, and he was off target which we're not use to seeing from Tua. We're happy to hear he's doing well."

When it came time to predict the outcome of this week's game Johnson wasn't prepared.

"I never do score predictions, but I think it will be a good game,"Johnson said.
