HVA stuns Bearden, Oak Ridge holds off Powell, and more from Week 10

Week 10 did not disappoint as we near the end of the high school football regular season.

- Hardin Valley 27 Bearden 7

Hardin Valley earned a huge win en route to what could be the Hawks' first Region 1-6A title.

Hardin Valley knocked off a Bearden team that had a shot to lock up the region title with a dominant performance that was never close.

Hardin Valley jumped out to a 20-0 lead it carried into halftime. The Hawks' dominant defense continued through the second half, leading to a massive showdown with Farragut Friday to decide the region champion.

- Oak Ridge 28 Powell 21

After Powell was shockingly forced to forfeit six wins earlier in the season, the Panthers nearly salvaged their season with a stunning win over Oak Ridge.

The Panthers took the lead early, only to see Wildcats mount a furious comeback for the win.

The loss eliminates Powell from playoff contention.

- Central 35 South Doyle 0

On paper, this was one of the best game's in East Tennessee coming into the night.

In reality, it was never close.

Central gave an incredible defensive performance, Friday, shutting down South Doyle's explosive offense.

Now, Central will face Gibbs Friday for the region title.
