Bearden snaps losing skid against rival Farragut

Knoxville, Tenn, (WVLT)-- The Bearden Bulldogs rallied for late score and then hung on to beat the Admirals 17-13. Their first win over Farragut since 2012 and third in the last 20 games between the two teams. The winning score would come on a Collin Ironside TD pass to brother Addison midway through the 4th quarter. A couple personal foul penalties along with the Bulldog defense would do in the Admirals late.

Bearden would finish with 328 yards of offense, 170 of those on the ground and most of those coming courtesy of Caleb Wilkins who rushed 19 times for 158 yards and one score.

Collin Ironside would also pass for 158 yards and that one TD to his brother. He has now thrown for over 5000 yards in his Bearden career.

The loss is just the first for the Admirals, who came in ranked #6 in the State in Class-6A. The Bulldogs also have just one blemish on the record and like Farragut, are still in line for a region championship.
