A four-star linebacker prospect out of Gainesville, Ga., Johnson started all four years at Tennessee. He went on to earn all-SEC honors in 2013.
Johnson missed the final two games his senior season in 2014 due to the allegations of rape raised against him by a woman.
Two quick things. #Broncos hope AJ Johnson clears waivers. Want to keep him. But needed a pass rusher with Shaq Barrett out at least two weeks. Also Nathan Peterman workout is part of a group deal. Just due diligence this time of year. #Denver7— Troy Renck (@TroyRenck) November 29, 2018
