She was a Hardin Valley basketball player who is now pursuing her dream of becoming a rap star.

"When I was younger I was like 'I wanna be a rapper!' said Daisha. "People thought I was like, playing, but I'm like no, I really do wanna be a rapper!"

Five years ago you might find Daisha spending time on the court playing basketball for the Hawks, but these days, all you need to do is turn on the radio.

"There's never a day when I wake up and I'm like 'ugh I don't feel like going to the studio.' Like, I really enjoy coming to the studio and just being creative and essentially creating something from nothing. At the end of the day, I just want my music to be timeless and make a positive impact."
