KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- On Friday, Thompson-Boling Arena was host to the annual KOC Kickoff Luncheon. The event was a chance for High School administrators and football coaches to get together for some fellowship and to talk about what’s new for the upcoming season. It was also a chance for them to hear from the National Champion quarterback and new UT wide receivers coach, Tee Martin.
The former Vol praised the coaches for what they do and told them, "You don't know how much you mean to young people! The 14 to 18-year-old range is so critical in a young man's life. So don't forget how critical you are because, by the time we get them, they've already decided who they are going to be."
It won’t be long football fans! High School football practice cranks into high gear next week. The annual Jamboree at Neyland Stadium is August 16th, with the first games of the 2019 regular season set for the following week.
