KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Farragut is playing for a regional title on Friday night against Hardin Valley.

Keeping tabs from Columbia, South Carolina will be former Admiral kicker/punter and current Tennessee punter Joe Doyle...

the redshirt freshman has burst onto the scene for the Vols, who are just one of two teams nationally that have held opponents to negative punt return yardage.

Prior to arriving on rocky top, Doyle's training came from Farragut and, more specifically, from Glenn Robinson, a Knoxville dentist who kicked at MTSU and has been training youngsters specializing in the art of special teams ever since.

Glenn's guidance helped land Doyle at UT, where he continues to utilize the technique learned from Robinson and his former Farragut coaches who keep up with Joe's progress and vise versa.

"It's exciting to watch," explained Doyle. "I watch the live stream every Friday and watch the game, especially since they're doing so well. It's a lot of fun. Coach Courtney has been nothing but supportive and the rest of the coaching staff. I always get a text from them. Coach Courtney came up during the spring to see me and Jacob (Warren). All of them have been nothing but supportive, so i really appreciate everything they've done."

With the help of coach Eddie Courtney and punter-turned-dentist Glenn Robinson, Joe Doyle is on his way to keeping Tennessee recognized as "Punter U".
