Kirkland and Brown shutdown UT careers

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- The SEC meetings are taking place down in Destin, Florida this week and our and earlier today it was coach Jeremy Pruitt announcing that a couple of his players are ending their UT careers due to medical issues.

The biggest name is linebacker Darrin Kirkland Junior, who's lingering knee issues will just not allow him to continue. Kirkland, who finished 4th on the team in tackles last season, would have been a red-shirt Senior this Fall.

Coach Pruitt says red-shirt sophomore tight end James Brown is also shutting down his football career due to shoulder issues.
