Davis and Green honored in advance of Conference Tourney

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Despite a frustrating season for the Lady Vols, a couple of players have received recognition for their talents on the hardwood.

Rennia Davis, a sophomore guard from Jacksonville, received second team All-SEC honors after leading the team in rebounds and leading the SEC in free throw percentage. Davis hit double scoring figures in 23 of the 28 games this season.

Zaay Green finished off the awards season for the Lady Vols as she was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team.

Green finished the regular season ranked #2 in scoring among SEC Freshman along with #2 in assists and #3 in steals. Green is now the third member of the current Vols roster to earn the rookie award following 2018 Rennia Davis and Evina Westbrook

The Lady Vols travel to Greenville, SC on Wednesday to play LSU in the first round of the SEC Tournament. That game will take place Thursday at Noon on the SEC Network.
