Tennessee's Rennia Davis has been named Southeastern Conference Women's Basketball Player of the week.
Coming off a pair of double-doubles, Davis lead the Vols with 15.5 points and 10.5 rebounds giving the Vols a 2-0 record last week against Missouri and Auburn, playing all 40 minutes in each game.
Her two free throws with 52 seconds left turned out to be the game's final points against Missouri, lifting the Lady Vols to a much needed 62-60 victory in Columbia. The two free throws now increases her free throw record to 25/26 since Jan. 13.
She is now is now averaging 14.8 ppg., 8.1 rpg., and 1.4 spg, while hitting 46% from the field and 88% from the free throw line.
Davis and Lady Vols (17-8 6-6 SEC) will take on No. 21 Texas A&M (19-6 8-4 SEC) on Thursday at 9pm ET. The SEC Network will have the broadcast.
