New Lady Vols coach adds to coaching staff

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- New Lady Vols head coach Kellie Harper announced Thursday the addition of Lacey Goldwire to her staff as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.

The upcoming season will be Goldwire's eight season working full-time as a coach, including positions with Oklahoma State, Morehead State, Iowa and Arkansas.

"We are very excited to be adding Lacey Goldwire to our coaching staff," Harper said. "Lacey is a person of high character and has a wonderful personality. She is a terrific recruiter and has knowledge and experience in the SEC that will prove to be very beneficial for our program."

Goldwire most recently worked at Arkansas, where she spent two seasons helping the Razorbacks earn a 22-15 record, a spot in the SEC Tournament championship game and a run in the WNIT.

A native of Oklahoma City, Goldwire played collegiately at East Central (Okla.) University, where she ranks fifth in career scoring with 1,340 points.
