Local athletes Higgins & Rodgers contribute to Clemson's national championship

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Clemson crushed Alabama in the college football national championship game on Monday, winning 44-16.

Oak Ridge product Tee Higgins scored a 3rd quarter touchdown to cap-off the Tigers' scoring for the night.

It was one of his three catches, which went for 81 yards.

Knoxville Catholic product, Amari Rodgers caught two passes for 30 yards in the game.
