KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Lady Vols breathed a big sigh of relief on Sunday as they broke their 6-game losing streak.
Four of the losses during that streak came by a combined 9 points, and one of the others was to the No. 1 team in the country.
Rennia Davis said, after Sunday's win, that the 6-game skid may have been necessary, to bring the team down to earth.
Tennessee spent part of the season among the top-10 teams in the country.
Recently, players have realized that winning games can't be taken for granted.
"Of course I didn't want to lose six games in a row. But maybe we needed that. Maybe we needed to see that we needed to get back to Tennessee basketball," said Davis.
