Meadows to be named Carter football head coach

Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Carter High School will have a new head football coach come next season.
Scott Meadows will take over for Vic Wharton, who served as head coach of the Green Hornets this past season.

Meadows most recently coached at Pigeon Forge, but stepped away from coaching following the 2016 season for health reasons. His coaching experience in East Tennessee is extensive having run the programs at Alcoa, Jefferson County, Wlilliam Blount, Catholic and most recently with the Tigers,

Meadows won a state championship in 2000 coaching the Tornadoes.
