Nashville to host 2019 NFL Draft with help from Tim McGraw, Kirk Herbstreit

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) -- Next year's NFL Draft is heading to Music City.

The decision to hold the 2019 draft in Nashville was announced Wednesday morning amid much speculation. It's one of the biggest events surrounding the NFL, and means big exposure — and business — for the host city.

Nashville hosting the draft could also be a big boost for the Tennessee Titans, who experienced an upswing last season.

Ex-Titans running back Eddie George, country superstar Tim McGraw, and former Ohio State quarterback and ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit have signed on to be the host committee. The CEO of the Nashville Convention and Visitor's center has been petitioning the NFL about hosting since 2011.
