Rebroadcast set to celebrate Central's state football championship

Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT)-- After inclement weather postponed Central's Class-5A state championship game against Henry Country Saturday night, officials rescheduled the game for Sunday afternoon at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville.

The TSSAA and National Federation of State High School Associations, who shared the game licensing rights, made the decision not to broadcast the game on television, a game originally scheduled to air on MYVLT and other affiliates across the state.

Given the historic nature of the game's outcome with Knoxville Central winning the school's first ever state football championship, we are going to air the one camera HD stream provided by NFHS on MYVLT Wednesday at 7pm. We will also incorporate special interviews with head coach Bryson Rosser and members of the team during
the quarter and halftime breaks.

Immediately following the game we will have our live Pilot Prep Sports High School Players of the Year award show.

So if you missed the broadcast Sunday on Facebook, here's your chance to relive Central's history making 14-9 win over Henry County in the Blue Cross Bowl Class-5A state championship game. Congratulations Bobcats and let the celebrations continue!
