Rocky Top Tip-Off brings Vol fans together

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Tennessee fans are hyped for football, but also basketball season.

Hundreds of people flooded Thompson-Boling Arena for a first look at Tennessee's two top rated teams.

"We're really excited for the fans," said Jordan Bowden, who plays for Tennessee's basketball team. "We have a 3-point and dunk contest, things like that. We're just excited for basketball season."

It was a night full of autographs, SEC championship rings, and contests.
All for the folks who love them the most, the fans.

"I'm really excited," said Alexis Taylor, who is a UT basketball fan.

Fans came decked out in their orange for one reason.

"Represent Tennessee," said Taylor.

They have big expectations for Tennessee this season.

"I'm looking for a lot of win," said Riley Miller, who is a UT basketball fan.

The Vols hope they wont disappoint.

"This is who we do it for," said Meme Jackson, who is a Lady Vol. "We do it for our community. They give a lot to us."
