SEC still dancing in NCAA Tournament

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- National Coach of the Year Rick Barnes was adamant prior to the start of this 2019 D1 NCAA Tournament about the SEC's strength heading into the Tourney.

The coach was proven right with four of the five top conference teams still alive for college basketball's top prize. Tennessee, Kentucky, LSU and Auburn will all see action this week in the round of 16.

ESPN.com senior writer Chris Low says," the only conference with more teams than the SEC still in the Big Dance is the ACC. You expect the ACC in basketball, the SEC maybe becoming a basketball conference, did you ever think you'd hear that?"

Regarding this Tennessee basketball team Chris says, "they're as good as anybody in spurts. The way they played in the first half against Iowa not only defensively, but offensively, they could've beaten anybody in the country."
