KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Well summer time means camp time and a couple guys who starred on
Friday nights here in east Tennessee are giving back this week
to some of the sports future stars.
pro-bowl safety for the Minnesota Vikings Harrison smith and Buffalo Bills tight end Lee Smith kicked off their seventh annual smith and smith football skills camp on the catholic campus.
Harrison is a Catholic alumni and Lee a Powell Panther. Both of the NFL veterans say it's nice to get back home in the off season and give back to kids in the communities they love. Harrison told us, " We were once in these men and women's shoes and its fun to remember those days and at the same time give back and give the younger people an opportunity to learn a little bit about football and hang out with some NFL players."
The camp continues Tuesday on the KCHS Campus.
