Tee Martin picks the Vols over other SEC schools

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- According to WVLT's media partner Chris Low, a senior writer at ESPN, Tee Martin is joining Tennessee's football coaching staff, where he will work with the offense.

Low tells WVLT that both Alabama and Auburn Universities came hard after Tee and that Vanderbilt head coach Derek Mason offered him the Commodores Offensive Coordinator position. In then end Tee, who had been talking with UT and Jeremy Pruitt for some time, decided returning to Rocky Top would be the best thing for him.

As Tennessee's quarterback, Martin led Tennessee to a victory in the 1998 national championship over Florida State.

According to Low's report, the details of Martin's contract at Tennessee have not been released.

Martin was most recently the offensive coordinator at USC.
