Tennessee back-up QB McBride announces transfer

Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Tennessee back-up quarterback Will McBride tweeted Wednesday night that he is transferring from the UT Football program.

McBride, who just completed his Sophomore season on the Hill, did not travel with the team to the last several road games. Injuries forced the League City, Texas native into duty last season playing in both the Southern Miss and Missouri games. He'll have a couple years of eligibility remaining.

In his tweet, McBride said he'll always appreciate the memories he made at Tennessee and the relationships he built, but is looking forward to furthering his football and academic career at another school.
