KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Before the season, Tennessee baseball coach Tony Vitello said, "Butting up against 30 wins is no longer nice to say around here."

Vitello wants to raise the bar for the Tennessee baseball program.

In a separate setting, he said, "We want to be great, and we want to be great now.”

The Vols reached the 30 win mark thanks to a series sweep of Kentucky this past weekend in Lexington.

It was the first time the Vols have swept Kentucky since 2004.

This marks the first time Tennessee has won 30 games since 2014.

Tennessee has four conference series left, and a handful of non-conference games.

As of now, experts are saying Tennessee is in the conversation to host a regional.
