KNOXVILLE, Tenn.(WVLT)-- Shades of 1986 when the Golden Bear charged down the back side of the famed Augusta National Course wo win his 6th Green Jacket.
Much the same feeling today as Tiger Woods took charge midway through the back side of this 2019 Masters Tournament with Birdies at 13, 15 and 16 to finish at 14 under par and win his 5th masters and 15th Major Tournament.
With weather threatening Augusta, Georgia, the golfers were asked to tee off the morning round early. Tiger would hang tough with former Masters champ Francisco Molinari until finally overtaking him on the back nine. Brooks Koepka and others would also challenge, but in the end, Tiger's stoic demeanor and Masters Tournament experience would help him prevail.
