KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Trey Smith has been named to the 2018 SEC Football Community Service Team, according to the University of Tennessee.
The UT sophomore was recently at the head of a coat drive for Knoxville Area Rescue Ministry, and over 1,000 coats were donated in just five days.
Smith was an offensive lineman for the Vols'; however, his season ended this year seven games in due to blood clots.
On Wednesday, the SEC announced Smith, along with 13 other members, as part of the service team. Some others on the team are: Joshua Casher, of Alabama, C.J. Conrad, of Kentucky and Khari Blasingame, of Vanderbilt.
