Knoxville, Tenn. (WVLT)— The University of Tennessee volleyball team has been selected to the NCAA Tournament. This is Tennessee's 14th all-time NCAA Tournament appearance and its first since 2012.
The Lady Vols finished a remarkable season under new head coach Eve Rackham with a 25-5 overall record and a second-place finish in SEC play, with a 16-2 record. The Lady Vols will travel to Pullman, Wash. for a first-round matchup with Colorado State on Friday at 7:00 p.m. (ET).
Tennessee holds a 2-2 record against Colorado State all-time, with the last meeting coming in 2012. The Lady Vols won over the Rams in five sets.
Joining them in the four-team site are host Washington State, the No. 16 overall seed in the tournament, and Northern Arizona.
