AUSTIN, TX (WVLT) -- A Tennessee diver has reached a monumental milestone.
Colin Zeng won his third national title of his career Thursday at the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in the 1-meter springboard. Zeng priviously won the 2016 and '18 platform national championship.
"He continued from where he was earlier today," head diving coach Dave Parrington said. "Just a very calm and competitive mindset. It isn't always easy to be the leader coming out of prelims and diving last, seeing what everyone else is doing. He handled that well and got off to a great first dive. His second dive was crucial, it really set up the list to where everyone was chasing him. I could not be prouder of his effort and the way he competed but now we have to bounce back and go again tomorrow."
Joining Zeng was freshman Matthew Wade, who earned All-America Honorable mention with his finish.
