KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)-- The High School basketball season is winding down. Several teams closed out their regular season schedules on Friday night including the catholic Fighting Irish, who defeated Lenoir City 63-36 to finish at 22-5 and 12-4 in District 4-AAA.

Knox County teams did not play with schools being closed because of illness. Among them, Bearden and Farragut, who'll play on Monday night. A Bulldogs win clinches the District crown, a loss coupled with a Maryville win over HVA will give the Red Rebels a District championship.

Other teams did play Friday night including Oak Ridge. It was a double header sweep over East Hamilton with the boys winning 69-50. Aaron Green's Wildcats finish the season at 22-4. The Lady Cats defeated the Lady Canes 81 to 50 and are now an impressive 26-2 heading into post season play.
