COLUMBIA, Mo. (WVLT) -- Jalen Johnson came off the bench and buried three 3-pointers in the first half to help Tennessee pick up its first SEC win of the season Tuesday night.
Johnson was one of six Vols to reach double-digit points, led by Jordan Bowden who added a game-high 13 points and four rebounds.
Tennessee continues to see improved offensive production from freshman guard Josiah-Jordan James, who scored 11 and pulled down a game-high-tying seven rebounds.
A rejection from junior Yves Pons late in the first half increased his blocks streak to 14 consecutive games to open the season. Pons, the SEC's second-leading shot blocker, finished the night with three blocks.
