Vols men's basketball moves up one spot in AP Top 25

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- After dominating performances against Lenior-Rhyne and Lousiana, the Vols men's basketball team has moved up to no. 5 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll.

Last week, Tennessee beat Lenoir-Rhyne, coach Rick Barnes alma mater, 86-41, and defeated Louisiana 87-65.

Next up for Tennessee is Georgia Tech on Tuesday, Nov. 13 before heading to New York City for the NIT Season Tip-Off. The Vols are slated to play Louisville on Wednesday, Nov. 21.

Taking one of the biggest hits in the Top 25 poll is the Kentucky Wildcats. After starting the season at no. 2, Kentucky dropped to no. 10. Duke, the new no. 1, defeated Kentucky last week 118-84.
