(WVLT) -- WVLT News' Heather Haley flew out to Los Angeles to interview many CW stars, and she landed an in depth chat with the new leads of "Charmed."
The new show was developed by Jessica O'Toole, Amy Rardin and Jennie Snyder Urman. It follows three sisters: Macy, played by Madeleine Mantock; Mel, played by Melonie Diaz; and Maggie, played by Sarah Jeffrey.
In the interview, the women told Heather that they had all watched the original version.
"Even if they haven't seen it, everybody knows what it is."
"It's so iconic. My cousin was just obsessed."
Despite the show's original strong following, the women say that the new show isn't taking anything away from the original.
"It's just an addition."
They said the mythology is borrowed, but the material is new, and the time is different.
The revamped show is set to premier on Oct. 14 on the CW at 9 p.m.
